Sludge thickening screw press inherits the technical advantages of sludge dewatering screw press and developed its own advantages, such as low energy consumption, high afficiency, fully automatic control, and stable operation. It can drectly thicken the sludge in the secondary sedimentation tank quickly and continuously, and the sludge concentration is stable and adjustable in the range of 90-96%. After using this equipment, thickening tank is not needed any more, which reduces construction cost and land space. Furthermore, it can effectively reduce the odor and phosphonus release caused by the sludge in the thickening tank, release the workload of subsequent treatments, and significantly increase the capacity of sludge dewatering equipment.
The sludge thickening screw press is composed of a thickener, a driving device, a filtrate tank, a mixing system, and a frame. When the screw press is working, the sludge is pumped to the mixing tank by the sludge pump. In the mean time, the dosing pump also quantitatively transports the polymer to the mixing tank, then the stiming motor drives agitator to start mixing until solid particles are flocculated. When the liquid level reaches the upper level of the liquid level sensor, the sensor gets a signal and instructs the main motor of screw press to work, thereby starting to filter and press the sludge that comes into the screws body. Under the squeezing of the screw shaft. the sludge is raised step by step to the sludge outlet, and the filtrate flows out from the gap between the fixed ring and the moving ring.
in general. the sludge thickener screw press uses the principle of screw extrusion which is finalized by the strong extrusion force from the change of screw diameter and pitch, and the tiny gap between the moving ring and the fixed ring, thus the solid and liquid can be separated. Sludge thickening screw press is a new type of solid-liquid separation equipment for sludge concentration.
The sludge thickening range is wide, it is applicable to sludge consistency ranges from 98% to 99.8%. The concentrate of the thickened sludge is stable and adjustable in the range of 90-96%. High concentration efficiency and small land space. No filter cloth, self-cleaning, no clogging, no need for high-pressure washing water.
