Plate and frame filter press is the first machine used in chemical dehydration. Although the plate and frame filter press is generally intermittent operation, because it has the advantages of large filtration driving force, high solid content of filter cake, clear filtrate, high solid recovery rate, low consumption of conditioning drugs, it is still widely used in some small sewage plants.
Product Features
Plate-and-frame filter presses are suitable for suspensions with highly compressible or nearly incompressible filter cakes. The solid particle concentration of suitable suspensions is generally below 10%. Operating pressure typically ranges from 0.3 to 1.6 MPa, with special cases reaching 3 MPa or higher. The filtration area can be adjusted by varying the number of plates and frames used. Plates and frames are typically square, with inner frame dimensions ranging from 200 to 2000 mm and frame thicknesses from 16 to 80 mm, providing filtration areas from 1 to 1200 m². Plates and frames are compressed using manual screw, electric screw, or hydraulic mechanisms. Materials include wood, cast iron, cast steel, stainless steel, polypropylene, and rubber.
