Plates and frames are typically square, with inner frame dimensions ranging from 200 to 2000 mm and frame thicknesses from 16 to 80 mm, providing filtration areas from 1 to 1200 m². Plates and frames are compressed using manual screw, electric screw, or hydraulic mechanisms. Materials include wood, cast iron, cast steel, stainless steel, polypropylene, and rubber.
