Zinc Oxide Rotary Kiln
Zinc oxide is used in rubber industry, mainly used for natural rubber, latex and rubber active agent compound using. Secondly it is used as intensifier and coloring agent. It is widely used in coatings, printing ink, paper making, medicine, chemical industry, ceramic, and glass, match, cable and cosmetics industries.

Smelting process of zinc oxide by rotary kiln
Rotary kiln is the zinc ore raw material and coke coal powder and lime crushed into particles less than 40 mesh, zinc ore raw material and coke coal and lime according to 1∶ (0.40 ~ 0.5) : Then the mixture is made into particle mixture with an effective diameter of 8-15mm. Finally, the particle mixture is put into the rotary kiln. The ingredients are continuously transferred to the drying and preheating section (about 11m,650-700 degrees), then to the intermediate temperature section (about 17m,700-850 degrees) and finally to the high temperature section (about 17m,850-1100 degrees,907 degrees is the boiling point of Zn) for smelting. Under high temperature into zinc vapor, and then into the hot air for oxidation, the production of zinc oxide after cooling, cyclone separation, with a cloth bag to capture fine particles, so get zinc oxide is called "indirect zinc oxide".
When smelting zinc oxide ore containing 20% ~ 25% zinc or industrial slag containing zinc in rotary kiln, it can greatly save coke or coal. The smelting product has the characteristics of good quality, improved productivity and small nodulation.
Using rotary kiln calcination process, when smelting zinc oxide ore with zinc content of 20% ~ 25%, the yield rate is 15% ~ 20%. (Namely 5-6T raw ore out of 1T zinc concentrate)

First, crushing and milling
The dry crude material will be crushed and milled first.
Second,calcination
After milling, the materials would enter the kiln outlet( high end of the cylinder) through the preheater, and then are fed into the kiln by the tremie pipe. Meanwhile, The heating source is sprayed into kiln by burner barrel in the head of the kiln. Due to the inclination of the cylinder and slow rotation of the cylinder, the materials roll in hoop direction. During this process, They will be calicinated, reacted, decomposed in succession through the calcinating section, reaction section, decomposition section,
Third,cooling
Then the materials are discharged from the head of the kiln and enter the cooling device and be cooled.
At last, screening
Then they will go through the screens and final products will be conveyed to the yard. The big size materials will be sent back and processed.
