A magnetic separator is a device that uses magnetic principles to screen and separate materials. It is mainly used to separate ferromagnetic substances from powdery or granular materials and is widely applied in multiple fields such as mining, resource recycling, wood industry, chemical engineering, and food.
The working principle of a magnetic separator is to separate magnetic and non-magnetic substances in the material by taking advantage of their different behaviors in a magnetic field. Magnetic particles are attracted under the influence of a magnetic field, forming "magnetic clusters" or "magnetic chains". As the cylinder rotates, these magnetic particles are carried to areas with weaker magnetic fields. Through the action of flushing water or brush rollers, the magnetic substances are removed, while the non-magnetic substances flow out with the pulp, thus achieving separation.
