Hollow shaft is an important part of ball mill. Its function is bearing the rotary of ball mill shell. Technically, hollow shafts
should not have below holes and sand holes on the neck of spherical tile and circular arc neck of shell connection. When
producing, spherical tile needs grinding after part machining, to secure precision and smooth finish. This requires very high standard of casting technology.

Shaft production process and quality control plan
There are 9 steps in total, which will take approximately 62 days:
1. Casting+forging (1 month)
2. Tempering (3 days)
3. Inspection (1 day)
4. Rough turning of each surface (1 week)
5. Tempering treatment (3 days)
6. Semi precision turning (1 week)
7. Flaw detection (1 day)
8. Precision turning (1 week)
9. Surface quenching (3 days)
Production criteria
1.The design, the manufacture, the acceptance standard
Product uses the advanced production, processing, manufacturing,to meet the manufacturing needs. Parts processing, production must reach the seller drawings, indicated size and geometrical tolerance requirement, the assembly must achieve its assembly accuracy requirements. The materials use products of the large famous manufacturers, requiring that wear-resisting, use cycle is long; Equipment out of factory should be strictly inspected and tested in factory.
2. Product in the manufacture is strictly according to the seller normal production process technical requirements:
The product to be comply with drawings and instruction in the technical requirements and provisions.
The materials should be in accordance with the provisions of the material standard performance requirements.
Mechanical processing are according to the rules of "cutting processing general technical requirements" (JB/T5000.9-1998) to be manufactured and accepted.
Carbon steel pieces of welding are according to the rules of "welding general technical requirements" (JB/T5000.3-1998) to be manufactured and accepted.
Castings are according to the rules of "casting general technical requirements" (JB/T5000.6-1998) to be manufactured and accepted.
Forgings are according to the rules of "forging general technical requirements" (JB/T5000.8-1998) to be manufactured and accepted.
Weld should be cleaned and grinded, the surface should be smooth, the welding must comply with the national standard "welding general technical conditions" (JB/ZQ4000.3-86).
3. How to control quality:
Material control: (1). Import the best material to produce. (2). Test chemical composition according to ISO9001
Technical: According to drawings and technical requirements to design the production process, heat treatment process, machining process, and our inspector execution for each process according to the entire production process in strict.
Inspect: We have the inspector at each process, and do the final inspect before delivery.
Records: Testing record of material, pattern making record, production process record, heat treatment record and drawing, machining record, inspecting record, testing record and final inspecting record.
4. Product acceptance and inspection items as follows:
(1). All the parts are assembled firmly, the components high precision assembled;
(2). Welding, casting parts quality and the product surface appearance quality are according with industry standards and norms;
(3). Product configuration are accord with the requirement of the buyer;
(4). Drawings are conform to the contract.
